The Languages Of New York, Mapped By Tweets.

After collecting 8.5 million geo-located tweets, a team developed a map reflecting where the 9 most prominently spoken languages in the Big Apple. Spanish is largely prevalent in the Bronx, while Russian rules Brighton Beach and Portuguese dominates Newark. Maps like these have huge potential from an urban planning perspective.
